Numerous independent tests have demonstrated what DYN bronze users have known for years - the wear rates of DYN bronzes are substantially lower than other bronzes.

Wear test - bearings

In friction-wear trials at a respected independent laboratory DYN bronze GZ14 delivered double the wear resistance of standard bronzes of the same composition. The components were tested under identical conditions; the same bearing pressure, rubbing velocity, lubricant and shaft material. All samples were manufactured by sand casting.

Wear test - worm gears

Worm gear wear trials at a respected independent laboratory demonstrated that DYN bronze GZ14 provides three times the
service life of standard phosphor bronze of the same composition.

The worm drive had a reduction ratio of 1:10 and wear was measured in terms of weight loss.
